CDC Declares Emergency for Epidemic of TDD – All Known Treatments Ineffective

“Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.”—Aldous Huxley

Experts at the CDC are very concerned about the outbreak of Telepathy Delusion Disorder (TDD) across the nation.  Those affected by TDD believe they can perceive what others think, believe, and intend without asking them.  CDC noted small numbers of TDD victims prior to 2008, but the disorder has spread exponentially in recent years.

Efforts to stem the epidemic have been futile.  Those afflicted show 100% resistance/non-compliance when offered treatment.

TDD can affect:

  • Perception – Distrust, misinterpretation, ascribed motives, inferred intentions, ability to read the thoughts of others.
  • Thinking – miscomprehension, non-fact reasoning, conflation of concepts, objectifying others, certainty that their beliefs and opinions are facts
  • Language – Word choices, profanity, accusations, name-calling, generalizations, labeling, expression, and understanding
  • Emotion –  Angry attitude, personality changes, aggression, acting out, arrogance, and social inappropriateness
  • Judgement – Loss of logical function, rash conclusions, spontaneous attacks

Those with TDD can seem completely normal until the disorder is triggered by others, or events that disagree with their delusion.  Once triggered, no amount of information can dispel their beliefs.  They may vigorously proclaim and defend the world as they see it, despite facts to the contrary.  Because of this, they tend to congregate and socialize with others who share the same disorder.

What TDDs have in common is that they believe:

  • All the non-afflicted agree with them.
  • Their opinions and beliefs are absolute truth.
  • They can read minds
  • They objectify opponents
  • They can detect the intentions of large amorphous groups
  • They know what is best and the best ways to do it
  • They must thwart those with opposing ideas
  • They must be extreme in word and deed

Two opposite and intolerant variants of the disorder have arisen, based on core beliefs:  TDD-L(eft) and TDD-R(ight).  They attack, and reinforce each other; they intentionally try to infect others.

The CDC offers these suggestions to avoid being infected and to treat those afflicted who are willing.

  • Practice separating provable facts from opinions, beliefs, and assertions.
  • Practice asking what people they think, rather than “mind-reading.”
  • Avoid willful ignorance of facts that conflict with your beliefs
  • Investigate your important beliefs to better define and shape them.

Democrats and Republicans Squander Power in Internecine Swamp Warfare

When politicians get personal, at best, nothing happens, at worst, nothing good happens.  We are witnessing, and suffering the slings and arrows of Alinsky-esque, Pyrrhic battles among the old guards of both parties of the “swamp” and the “Neo-Alt-Populists.”

What earnest, stalwart citizens expect is honest disagreement and negotiation to get the nation’s business done.  Instead we get messy, nasty, underhanded, duplicitous, deceitful, street fights by leaders of the traditional, two-party Congress and political elite intended to sabotage and neutralize the populist agenda.  Instead, we drown in oceans of pure sewage, a woeful waste of time, money, and reputation.

Trump started this ad hominem warfare with schoolyard nicknames for his opponents and constant public comments on everyone and everything.  But the swamp knows how to respond in kind.  Undermining, demeaning, and slandering one another absorbs enormous energy and batters the already dwindling confidence of the public.  What can we do with the barrage of bickering and dirty laundry?

I assign a giant portion of blame to the partisan, self-serving, faux journalists who constantly, gleefully, nakedly, shamelessly, and blatantly editorialize the mayhem.  The growing competition for notoriety risks America’s reputation and wastes our resources and influence.   Adolescent gossip has become the fodder for our herd of addicted commentators, who flood every form of information outlet, 24/7, with waves of “breaking news.”

I propose a ceasefire and a truce on public criticism, starting with the President.  Take your bar fights out back; do not make us witness the ugly, monkey-dance posturing, angry barbs, and impotent jabs.  Come back when you are done mauling each other, and you have made up with some workable compromise.  We are tired of seeing how no sausage is made.  We want to see and hear mature, decent people, doing what we elected them to do, with decorum and dignity.

Empty Vessels – No-Knowledge, Hapless Harlequins

We Americans pride ourselves on sophistication without evidence.  Take any “on-the-street” interview.  Does the ignorance of the pedestrian amuse you?  Beware the flagrant lapse of education and awareness. Apparently, we stopped requiring and inspiring “common” knowledge thirty or more years ago.

We have become a sort of third-world country in terms of awareness; clowns of not-so-funny, serious lapses of informed smarts.

A television sampling of instant interviews prior to the recent eclipse was a frightening display of the absence of even elementary information and knowledge about the nature of our planet, our solar system, our universe.  We were supposed to laugh at these peoples’ abject ignorance.

What a condemnation of our education system, and any ill-informed populism we might engender.  Finite knowledge, and unbounded ignorance go hand-in-hand with fascism, and other forms of mindless collectivism.

A glaring, and shocking example of this growing surrender to rude “democracy,” is the recent Fox News segment, “Next Revolution,” with Steve Hilton.  He calls it “positive populism,” I call it a thinly clad predecessor to the failed notion of communism.  We have entered a dangerous period of power without knowledge.  A democracy of fools is a vast and dangerous mob, incited by the slightest of mistaken thoughts and gossip.

Harlequins were clever, cultural foils for royal courts of yore.  They raised obvious points of regal stupidity through not-always-subtle, but carefully-clad humor, and thinly-disguised ridicule.

I fear that we Americans have become so arrogant, so conceited, so vainglorious, that we cannot see the truths in the humor of our harlequins.

“Hate” – A Needless Form of Thought Crime

Do we need the distinction “hate” when dealing with violent crime?  Media amplification, maybe?  A “hushpuppy,” for the politically correct?  A first step toward “thought crime?”

Psychopaths, and sociopaths, outlaws, and gang members may not hate their victims at all.  Does that make their crimes less heinous?  How about crimes against loved ones, are they “love” crimes?  How about any other state of mind?  Have we developed mind-reading, telepathy, or other means to know what is in the head of a criminal when they commit offenses?  I say, forget useless adjectives and apply what we already have:  laws.

Laws distinguish first degree murder, manslaughter, and justifiable homicide, based on circumstances, threat, and intent. The term “aggravated” is added to crimes based on severity, and intent. So, we have legal tools to separate “accidental,” “incidental,” “intentional,” and “self-defense.”  Types and severity of prescribed ranges of sentences are graduated based on degree, and intent.

“Hate crimes” seem to be intentional to me and therefore “first degree,” or “aggravated.”

Verbal and menacing threats are crimes, “assaults,” misdemeanors.  What parts of so-called verbal “hate crimes” are not covered by current laws?

The ultimate punishments for thought crimes are the double jeopardy of federal “civil rights” prosecution, and triple jeopardy of civil suits for the same event.  The costs in time and money will ruin most people, even if they are exonerated.

Civil War in America – Dueling Suicide Vests

The political enemies of President Trump are weakening our nation, and helping the enemies of the USA with their attacks on him.  The latest example is the accusation that the president leaked super-secret, military intelligence to the Russians, about Islamic State plans.  This was a privileged White House meeting with the Russian ambassador and our ISIS experts, held in one of our most secure “contained” facilities.

Within hours, the information discussed in this meeting,  is published by the icons of liberal media.  The Washington Post and its cousin, The New York Times claim that president Trum revealed damaging, top-secret information to the Russians.  Later, the news sources compounded the problem, by claiming Isreal was the source of the secrets.

In their lust to skewer the president, these two news mongers received classified information from one or more traitors. (I know no clearer label.)

Publishing the information exposed and “verified” the secret for everyone in the world.  The attribution to Isreal was a gift for the Russians, and anyone else in the Middle East who might be interested.

The press attack was calculated to produce maximum political harm to the president, but, what did it do for our country?  Who intentionally “weaponized” the secret?

Those who were there in the room, including National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster, say that neither source, nor method of obtaining the intelligence was compromised.

I do not know the “truth,” but I do know that all the “optics” help Russian intelligence. There is information and there is knowledge.  Information without verification might have been questioned, doubted, or ignored; now the Post and the Times have elevated it to likely or verified.

The intensity of breast-beating accusations by the Democrats, and the malevalent media headlines have given Russia, Turkey, and other countries cause to question the security of any discussions between President Trump and their emissaries.

The point is, the Democrats should be equally vigilant protectors of our national security; it seems the media, that should have a giant stake in keeping us safe, would rather “throw us under the bus,” if it gives them any way to undermine President Trump.  They have taken the president at his word when he called them “enemies.”

Make no mistake, people on both sides of this escalating battle seem equally, and rabidly eager for Pyrrhic victories.  They somehow believe that ripping apart their political rivals strengthens them, and justifies weakening our position in the world.  Any illusions of American unity and strength crumble under this suicidal bloodlust.  The same virus has infected our citizens.  Do we really feel these family feuds strengthen us somehow?  Does righteous, rancorous infighting raise our national pride, or elevate our international prestige?

Besides, what are the possible consequences of these virulent attacks on our president?  Even if the Democrats managed to impeach President Trump, succeed or fail, our country would suffer mightily.

When two opponents don suicide vests, who wins?

Who Can’t Handle the Truth? – Really, Mothers’ Day is “Gendered?”

I just read a complaint that Mothers’ Day should be changed to Guardians’ Day, because Mothers’ Day is “gendered.”  https://heatst.com/culture-wars/critics-attack-mothers-day-as-offensive-because-its-a-gendered-holiday/

God help me, I must be getting crusty; isn’t part of growing up learning to deal with things that threaten us, things we do not like?  Aren’t building courage, and mentally “toughening up” precursors to leadership, freedom, and independence?

Is basketball a “heightened” sport?  Is adulthood and “aged” convention?  Ridiculous is too tamed a term for this plague of ninnies who whine and writhe in psychic pain at every perceived offense or slur.  How about absurd, preposterous, ludicrous, silly, inane, imbecilic, and, cockamamie?

And since when is “everybody else” supposed to “fix” my problems, punish my offender, shield me from danger and the glaring rays of regular life?

Am I taking too seriously “news” like this?  Maybe I should just laugh and reminisce about the times, win and lose, I fought back against bigger boys who physically bullied me when I was a little kid; it would save stomach acid.

Are the laws of “Social Correctness” extending their boundaries a wee bit too far?  Are the Offense Police ever going to run out of poor, petulant, abulic, moribund, scissile, thin-skinned, panophobic, brittle, self-obsessed neurotics?  Here is a form for their complaints, courtesy of a contributor to “The Free Dictionary:”  (Scroll down until you see the form.)

Swamp Thing – Voters Witness Their Betrayal

If you voted for President Trump this November, the Republicans in Congress are betraying you.  The Representatives in the House are not representing you, and the Senators are subverting your revolution.  For the first time in decades, they have the reins of power.  Instead of working together to get things straight, they are hobbling the direct, clear reforms you voted for.

The denizens of the Swamp cleverly disguise themselves as cohorts of “the people” during the election.  Yet, as the days pass, and the pages turn, they throw off their masks and camouflage, to reveal themselves as opponents of your wishes, creatures of the same old “Black Lagoon.”

In 2016, America, so tired of being oppressed by twenty percent of our citizens, finally stands up and says “enough.”  Citizens show up in droves and vote to end the politically correct, power broker era; but they do not get what they bargained for.  Instead, they get lip service to transformation, and business as usual.

It seems they are as naïve as the characters in horror movies; they think their hero kills the creature, but here it is as vicious as ever.  They think their only enemies are their obvious enemies, and their allies are their allies.  They are so wrong.  Instead, they learn that their enemies are still their enemies, and their “allies” are out for themselves.  They have no allies; they are abandoned to the voracious creatures who hide in plain sight.  How can we call them cynical, when the truth bears them out?

Those smarmy liars and deceivers who sit smugly on their thrones are thumbing their noses at the plebiscite.  They stymie the movement President Trump champions; they quibble and dribble away opportunities that have waited decades for fruition.

GOP stands for “Got Our Power.”  They need to hear that we see them for what they really are:  cowardly traitors, dreading social media.  Harsh?  What do we call those who subvert their nation for any other reasons?  In this era of virtual lynching, real heroes shun the battle for leadership.  Why?  Because it is suicide to try to lead an army of disloyal, reticent, malingering, uncommitted political egos into real moral combat.  They will not represent the bulk of America; they refuse to restrain the unremitting, minority’s demands on the majority.

Do not believe what they say or what they say they do – challenge or replace them.  Now is time for real revolution.
